π Security Tip of the Week:
Take an existing application or service that has been in your environment for several years and review it from an architectural perspective rather than simply checking its patch status. Look at how its exposure, privileges, integrations, dependencies, and access to sensitive data have changed since it was originally deployed.
The differences may tell you more about its current risk than the original design documentation does.
π This Weekβs Outlook in a Shareable Statement:
Architecture changes even when nobody is working on an architecture project. Software evolves, business requirements create new connections, and yesterday’s small configuration decisions become part of today’s environment.
Keeping architecture current means understanding not only what you’ve intentionally built, but what the environment has become.
